questions about true duals bullets

Hi my name is Jared and i have a 04 Screw with the 5.4l and I want to go with 2 1/4 true duals. i would like to go with dynomax bullet mufflers but i have just a question. I just wanna know if its the best to go with for performance wise and mpgs and of course sound. because i just don't want to have my performance go down because i do a lot of towing our camper and i get good gas mileage now and don't want it to get worse and it does help i drive like a grandpa.

Hi Jared - and welcome!

Poke around in this forum - you'll find stuff like this: https://www.f150online.com/forums/ex...rue-duals.html

You are doing the right thing in terms of preserving torque (for towing).

The 'sound' aspect is really gonna be yer call alone - no one else can tell what you consider to be 'good sounding'. Towing can and will exacerbate any potential 'drone' which you may/may not find objectionaable.

Another option is to just stay stock ( or add a 2.5" SISO Maggie muffler- see 'drone' issue above as it will also apply here) - save the cost of the dual system and get a custom tuned flash programmer with a good tow-specific tune. This will provide much more benefit towing than any exhaust.

Choice is yours - sound? Or power?

Duals - Don't fergit the x-pipe, go with SS mandrel-bent tubing if you can swing it. Do it right the first time.

Good luck!

Stay 2.25" for max low rpm torque. Bullets will sound great too.
