Question Banks Exhaust

What is the general consensus on a Banks Monster Exhaust system # 48740. My original Gibson SI/DO bit the dust with the corrosion up here in the snow belt. Not looking for lots of noise, just a fairly reasonable sound and performance. Also just curious if a re-tune on the Gryphon will be needed. Only other exhaust mod is Mag. high-flow cats.

Comments:

1. Expensive, but good quality.
2. No retune required.
3. No tangible performance gains from a catback.
4. Consider Corsa for even better quality and less drone.
5. Others to consider: Magnaflow, MBRP.
6. Or - just choose a SS muffler and let a shop fab it up. Keep it ~2.5" to preserve yer torque (if you care).

Had a banks dual on my 06 6.0 powerstroke and absolutely loved the quality and sound. Was the best sounding diesel around. Even had people ask why my gas motor smoked so much lol.

I decided to go with the Corsa based on MGD's comment with regard to the drone our trucks have at the 1800-2200 rpm range. After some research I got the Corsa for less than $500 to the door and had it within three days. Install was straight forward and easy. Sounds good to me and NO DRONE at all (no sound clips). I got it at: www.dbexhaust.com/
