having trouble removing silencer

I have a 2001 screw and I just did the gotts intake mod. Now I want to take the silencer out but Ive ran into some problems. I am having trouble taking the flex tubing off how careful should I be with it, I feel like I am being too careful so im not getting anywhere. Do I need to take the flex tubing off, I saw a how to and the guy said he didnt take it off. Last Im not really sure where to cut Ive seen every how to on the enternet how to do this and I still cant figure it out. If anybody would like to post pictures of theres if they have any I think it would help me a lot and I would really appreciate it.
Thanks for any help.

Im guessing I take the flexible tubing off and cut the inside of the plastic and slide it out.

Use some long neck dykes to get in there and cut it up. The flex tubing is glued to the 90* plastic elbow.

like the ones in the middle

once you start cutting it, and rolling it over itself like a burrito. you will see that the ends are flared, and there is a side pipe connection into that outside ribbed section of the elbow that you can see from the underside of the intake tube
