long time no post. Long, long time member by the way... I'm designing a true-dual exhaust system using Magnaflow parts and was hoping for your feedback. Let me document what my research indicates based on the extensive knowledge on these forums. I will be using true duals with DI/DO utilizing the x-pipe as close to the front as possible. The system will be based on the Magnaflow 16616 design but utilize a true dual with x-pipe. Here are my planned components. I have a very reliable, quality shop in town to assemble the system. All Magnaflow Part #s:

#11386, Inlet/Outlet Size: 2.5in./2.5in.
Body Shape: 4in.x9in. Oval
Core Size: Dual 2.5in.
Body Length: 14in.

#10791, Tru-X Crossover
Inlet/Oulet Size: 2.5in Dual/2.5in. Dual
Overall Length: 12in.Core Size: 2.5in.x4in.

#35204, Round-15 Degree.-Rolled, Diameter: 3in.
I.D. Inlet: 2.5in.
Length: 12in.

Opinions? Am I good with going 2.5" all the way through? Planned upgrades, SCT X3 Tuner, Motts mod (or S&B Intake) and possibly Roush Supercharger kit down the road.

 

Go with a 4" outlet tip, but sounds good, go for it.

 

Placed my order with hottexhaust. Actually ended up moving to the 18" muffler based on my local exhaust guy telling me that the shorter muffler is quite loud. Also with with 3" 15degree rolled tips. he said he did quite a few "Lightning Style" exhausts on our trucks.

I will post pictures when complete and see if I can capture some audio.
