Stage 3 Motorsports in Phoenix

Thought I would let you guys know that Stage 3 Motorsports has a couple of good deals on their site. Just ordered a Roush CAI for my 5.4l for $310 and a shirt for like 12 bucks...Then I entered S3M005 as a coupon code and got $16 off, totalling $305 for everything..with free shipping. Not too bad...and for the people that are gonna say I wasted money for not going the Gotts way, I have a ram air hood so this intake fits and lines up perfectly with the air outlet (should bring in more air flow compared to the Gotts method) Im not an advertiser for this company, I was just happy that I saved some money so I just wanted to pass it along.

Tarajerame, are you talkin about the intake? Its basically an Airaid but has the Roush name on it: http://www.stage3motorsports.com/pro...ntake-54L.html ...Compare that to the Airaid for the 5.4: http://www.zenithmotorsports.com/air...8f-15054l.aspx ...Same design just a different name (id rather pay less and have it say Roush than pay more and read Airaid) And Punisher, when do you plan on installing it? I was thinking about getting a new set myself.

oh OK, that's why I was asking about the tune, didn't want to see another thread about a lean condition after intake installation and possibly a ruined motor

I do have a question for you though...What if I hook up my regular Edge up and select the high performance program which requires 91+ octane but I still have like half a tank of 87...is it gonna mess it up at all? Or should I wait till Im basically on e, fill it up with 91, and then program it?

Don't. Just wait. If not you will need to retard the timing. RTFM - it's in there.

And $300+ is a lotta coin for a 1-2 HP effective difference, imho ...

Be advised you may/may not also experience some drone from the intake as well - hopefully it won't be too objectionable, but more than a few folks have ripped that thing off because of it. Hills & towing usually exacerbate the condition.
