O/r y pipe question

Is there anwhere that sales a o/r y pipe for a 02 5.4l truck for the stock manifolds? Been looking into headers but really just want an o/r pipe for now, thanks in advance!

O/R Y-pipe? These aren't Mustangs dude. Going catless is a bit more complicated. You would have to buy a new, better performing Y-pipe and have the pipes before that redone for no cats.

Sounds like he's trying to sell you something. As far as I know, there are no O/R Y-pipes that connect to factory manifolds. There are some that com with long tube headers.

sure do, hit up any company that offers performance parts for lightnings/harley trucks

here are some high flow cat equipped mid pipes, from one online company but I'm sure several of our supporting vendors for this site could get you some as well

http://www.lightningforceperformance...pe_Kits/grid/1

there are many other companies that offer mid pipes as well

the only thing is that the lightnings / supercharged harley trucks have 5.4's and true duals from the factory so you'd need to add a high flow Y-pipe or add to the dual mid pipes

If you are looking to improve the performance on an otherwise stock truck then look closely at the exhaust system just past the collectors where it turns down. The pipe reduces from 2½ inch diameter to 2¼ inches. The cash you spend on an off road pipe would be better spent on a set of long tube headers that eliminate this restriction.

EDIT: Because your truck is a 4x4 the Lightning pipes will not fit. The 4x4 pipes have a dip to clear the t-case.

I didn't think that mattered looks like I was wrong and he has to have custom mid pipes made then
