can i use a universal cat

I'm new to the site so hello to all. I have a 2006 F150 FX4 crewcab and i think I have a cat problem. when I am running low rpms and accel hard motor picks up rev trany down shifts, but very slow on accel then it seems to start pulling hard if you keep your foot in it. It has a code in it right now. Just need to scan it again to get the number might help. Thank you for any info or advice!

You just mount them after the cats. Any shop should be able to weld in an o2 bung.
