The 3" Bullet is on!

The shopping list came together from Summit and Amazon, and it all went on fairly easy. 3" from the y-pipe, through a section of 3" tube, to the 3" 16-inch body bullet. Short extension, then 3" turndown before the axle. All clamped together and a hanger bastardized on to the front bed cross member.

I drove it a couple days without the turndown and it droned like a sombeyatch. Put the turndown on (straight to the ground) and most of the drone went away. It's stupid deep. I was going for light rumble - which is why I got the longer body - but I'm not at all disappointed.

$130 for the parts to my doorstep, plus about $22 for the clamps from NAPA. Not too bad in my eye for a 3" custom exhaust that I don't have to nit-pick the quality of a muffler shop.

You say you got the longer body, but 16". They are listed by both case length and overall length. The closest size to what you have is the one with overall length of 16.5".....which is the shortest size they offer. Sounds like you got the loud one.
