OWell I'm off Wednesday I'm going to the muffler shop to get a quote. Should I use 2.5" or 2.25" pipe? I'm planning on cutting the y pipe out and starting from the manifolds back into a x pipe then into the xr1s then out back maybe under the center of the bumper to look like a double barrel shotgun LOL. I'm afraid if I do the lightning style exhaust it all the exhaust notes will be directed to the right side of the truck. So then people to pulled up to the left of me wont get the full effect

ya the sound to one side is true, especially when its not at the rear of the truck. You asked that before...2.25" for low end TQ gains....2.5" for peak HP gains. 2.5" will sound better IMO

OK so 2.5" it is I wont get that swishing sound when it lopes with 2.5 like I do with 3.5 will I? You think the under the center of the bumper would look good? You have any good looking tips you'd recommend?

the loping thing...idk ive never dealt with that. Under the bumper will look good. You gotta decide if you want rolled tips or slash cut tips. 4" outlet most likely

I love this set up.
http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3..._0281Small.jpg and I love these tips http://www.google.com/m/search?site=...ed=0CAsQBQ#i=9
With the stock cams it was a constant flow of exhaust coming out and with the cams when it lopes it changes the flow so I think that's why it has that light swishing sound because the pipe is so big.

You couldn't pull that off unless you had a bumper that forms around the tips. Dumped under the bed with a set of short tips would look and still sound great.

It does look like the Magnaflow, but it's made of aluminized steel. A real Maggy X-pipe only costs like $65 off of pp, but you can find a stainless X on ebay for like $40-$50.

That tip that you posted will definitely be unique, but it has to fit the overall look of the truck to pull it off.
