Need the opinion of you exhaust guru's

I've been looking into changing my exhaust for awhile. I have a flowmaster si/do with turn downs and it sounds okay but it's really loud inside the cab and I was looking for something different. Found a magnaflow muffler online for a good price. I was thinking about buying it and having a muffler shop weld it on. Anyway I was just curious of how it would sound? I'm no expert so I need some advice. Thanks guys

Hmmm, where does your flowmaster dump? Under the cab?

no but pretty close... it doesnt help that I have a regular cab... it's not bad around town but the drone on road trips is too much

I feel you man. Dumping pretty close to under the truck doesnt help you for comfortableness I can imagine. Honestly, I dont think you''ll get much of an improvement from the magnaflow. Unless you dump it out the back. I dump mine out the side, and its quieter than it was under the cab. I can at least hear myself think now.

I was going to see if they could run it out behind the rear tire... something kind of similar to the stock look

If you do that with your flowmaster, im sure that'll be a great improvement. I think it'd beat putting a new muffler on. Unless thats what you wanted to do, and still run it out the back.

run tailpipes first, then change mufflers if still unhappy.
