Edelbrock 4.6l carb. intake manifold

Okay, so I'm swapping a Lightning 5.4l in place of my 4.6l...and I was wondering this: If I was to put the 4.6l in a 1966 Ford Fairlane (mine and my dad's project), would this intake/electronics kit make it to where I could do away with the computer? I thought it would just make it a little less hard to do the swap if we were able to simplify it a little. I realize we would have to find a matching tranny and find a tranny controller as well.
Here's the kit:

That's the only part that would hold us back...it's about a $750 intake kit :o

is that with the eletronics?

for me that's not to bad plus another grand for a stand alone box for the 4r70, but I'd be looking the 4.6 to 5.4 adapter plates and a 6 speed manual truck trans

I like the idea of all 4 trucks using the same parts, plus then I'd have a home for the Procharger
