I was researching on here about the "Gotts Mod" and tried this instead. It's a 5.4 and I have a K&N air filter in the tray. Any reasons not to do this? Seems silly to spend $120 on the Airaid Jr. tube that looks to do the same thing.

Hello.

That's fine.

Yer IAT's will be a tad higher at low speeds/stopped, but will come down at speed.

The extension to the fender well will help with that if you so choose.

BTW - have you seen this timely post?==> https://www.f150online.com/forums/ex...good-idea.html

Hey Chris.

IAT = Intake Air Temperature, as measured by the integrated sensor in the MAF.

Yer not gonna ask me about MAF, are ya?

Sounds good. I think I will just keep this setup for a while.
