Exhaust update

I wanted to give everyone the latest on the exhaust I had installed Friday. First it was done at Mandrel Bending Solutions, this shop does great work on site and also makes their own kits that are mandrel bent, aluminized or stainless. I went with all stainless pipe a 14" magnaflow muffler and 12" x 3-1/2" tips 45d behind the tire, I held the tips parallel to the back panel and even to the inside edge and the furthest part of the tip is just at the front of the bumper, it is really clean looking. The slash cut tips almost disappear. As for the sound, INCREDIBLE I could not believe how good it sounded. When I got home the wife was waiting at the front door, and had to check it out herself, and quote," it sounds good, I can feel it rumble under my feet". When first considering an exhaust I had some reservations because of excessive noise, I have been through the LOUD phase when I was younger, I just wanted some nice tone and wow did I get it. Thanks for all the input guys!!!

Ijust listened to your truck and in my opinion it sounds very much the same, I have the 4.6 engine and dont know if the 5.4 sounds any different. The only reason I went with the mandrel bent pipes was they were cheaper than anybody else around with the crush type benders. The truck sounds great and to be honest I could take it a little louder, but I know it will get louder as the packing burnsand man am I anxious to get my Gryphon.
