little help on exhaust

little help on exhaust

i want to put on a some what aggressive exhaust maybe dual but don't want the drone like the flowmaster 40 series and still quite enough not to get the wife pissed off . what is your opinion on the 5x8 18 in. oval magnaflow or another combination for a cat back system and thanks for the help.

flowmaster 50 series on one side and a super 44 on the other with an h-pipe and a lightning style exit...

tarajerame that might make the wife happy but i would be miserable i think i might go with the 18 in. and if the wife don't like it i will get her some ear muffs.

18" will not be aggressive. I suggest a magnaflow 14" oval, or my favorite, Borla Pro XS!

straight pipe it. if you leave the stock cats on you'll be fine with your wife. anything under 1700 rpm will have a aggresive tone without too much noise(enough power to get you down and outta your driveway then use the throttle a bit more) anything 2000 rpm up and she just roars

Straight pipes is NOT the way to go here. Once again you make yet an other suggestion that no where near pertains to what the OP is asking!

this video kinda sucks but this is the svt raptor with the 5x8 18in magnaflow muffler dual out, sounds quiet in the video.. cant find a video outside the truck

14" maggie or 14" borla pro xs and call it a day. The 09's are louder tho guys, so maybe an 18" should be looked at too.

thanks for all the feed back i am going with the 14 in. maggie the 18 in. isnt much louder than stock hope to get it installed next week
