Putting stock air intake back on... clean first?

Well since it seems I won't be getting my custom tune from PHP anytime soon I'm going to put my stock air intake back on. I tried running the canned tow tune but it just sounds kind of crappy to me. I think it sounded a lot better with the stock tune and air intake so I'm going to put it back the way it was.

The stock air intake tube has a bunch of dirt and grim all in it though so I'm going to give it a good cleaning first. Should I just hit it with the pressure washer and some soapy water? Would that be ok as long as I make sure it's completely dried out before I reinstall it?

Hello.

No liquids!

If you get any into those three helmholtz chambers it'll take forever to completely dry out.

Compressed air only - maybe pull a rag through it. Check fer critters & such. If found, entice them out with cheese. That's it.

Clean the MAF while yer at it ...

Good luck.

Hmm no air compressor so I guess I'll try just using a rag and wiping it out as much as I can. Don't want to screw anything up!

Thanks for the input!
