Nice job Pat!

Patman Mar 13, 2010 04:50 PM

Klitch, it might be a little bit of a drive, maybe we could meet halfway :p

Patman Mar 13, 2010 04:51 PM

Klitch Mar 13, 2010 04:55 PM

 alright but you cant just laugh and leave the poor red ford of mine in disarray! :p

GatorBoi Mar 13, 2010 05:02 PM

nice job pat! very factory like, like intended!

Almost the same thing I did the first time around, expanded the opening, except I didn't install that rubber trim piece. Nice Patrick! Second time, I upgraded to receive a Volant cold air box. = Larger square opening.

Good Job mister

BTW- I also sanded the lip out of that schedule 40 on one side for smoother transition.

:beers:

Patrick, what's that deal by your hand, - is that for the car starter ? That push-pin thing. Removed mine 3 years ago, -never reinstalled it again. Just curious as to what exactly it does.

that is a hood switch for Taylor's alarm, and actually those are taylor's hands

Great job man. I'm going to end up doing the Gotts/DWV mod soon.

Stealth Mar 13, 2010 06:25 PM

Nice work, Patrick! :beers:

I think jbrew is talking about the pipe where it's not de-burred and the rough cut remains on the ID of the pipe.

Patman Mar 13, 2010 06:30 PM

didnt think about doing that, we did remove the tabs on the inside of the filter housing that the factory snorkel attached to.

coobies5 Mar 13, 2010 07:14 PM

it would be taylor's truck
looks nice pat

Yea, -Stealth got it. Looking inside of the set up after it was roughed in, -mine stepped up into the PVC. I just thinned it out to match the OEM box, - like port/gasket matching in a way lol.

Not sure if your set up does this, -mine did using the 40.

Ok got it. I recall it was connected to one single wire. Damn thing got in the way to much I guess. Still in the drawer, never put it back on.

Oh and yea, I thought you just had tiny hands ;)
