so i got my loudmouths taken off and a set of what i believe oringinal 40 series welded in. they came off my buddies mustang and he was told when he bought them they were super 40s...but from my research super 40s only come in a black case. so i kinda think they are oringinals

is there a sure way to tell what kind they are?

 

Yes. Part number.

 

If it is a real flowmaster, it will say flowmaster on it, and it will have a part number stamped into it.

na im gonna have to climb under there and see if i can see it

 

if its like all the flowmasters ive ever had the paint most likely burned off of them

 

na it was aluminum color when he got them...so i kinda think they are orginial 40s

 

^ They could be delta 40's too. Can you see any foot prints from the welds? An Org. will only have one v baffle, but the delta has three separate v baffles in the middle.
