pypes violator si/do cat-back

well i thought i'd post this for anybody looking for a nice stainless steel si/do exhaust, it only cost about $380.00 shipped to my door from jegs. everything is t304 stainless and mandrel bend tubing. overall really nice kit i recommend it to anybody looking for a nice cat-back.

heres a vid it was just a tad cold (21F you can hear the suspension squeak when i get in) so i didn't take it any higher then 3000rpms, but once it warms up it's going to the limiter.

enjoy

it's not any quieter then the magnaflow set up and it's much cheaper, i was merely telling the people about a well made low price stainless steel catback. not trying to say it's the loudest also i don't prefer loudness, i prefer the tone quality of the sound.

no hard feelings about the quite thing

This is pretty good info here. Pypes has a reputation of being loud and obnoxious, but they obviously aren't if the violater (their loudest oval) sounds like that. What are the specs on the muffler in that kit? I'm considering one of their race pro mufflers (quieter and better flowing than the violater) because they are a great price and it would be something different than what everyone else is running.

How is the performance with this setup? I have a Pypes setup on my new to me 2007 Mustang GT and it sounds and performs awesome. Not too loud, but just enough to get people's attention. I'm looking for an exhaust system for my 2010 F-150, so I'm interested in how this is performing for you.

No catback is going to have a noticeable gain on the butt dyno. I would assume on the 2010 there would be even less difference because you have larger pipes and a better designed muffler already.

Good afternoon!

This is very true. I believe Darren said the stock can is the next best thing to being straight though. 2.75" pipes also as I understand it.

If you are not very careful you run a real risk of hurting the truck's already stellar bottom-end ... certainly, anything chambered or suboptimally sized is not the way to go....

as for performance i agree with mdg and sparko, how ever i did notice it has a little more get up and go (in the 2500rpm+) then my old set up (stock with glasspack) and alot less drone and for $350 all stainless, that's what sold me on it.

steve check their website, i know they make si/so muffles.
