lightning style tip length???

I want to redo my exhaust so I was wondering for those of you who have done the lightning style exhaust how long are your tips? I want to get slant cut rolled tips with at least a 3in outlet.

i was suggested getting some with a 3.5" outlet and 12 inches long.
i havnt found any that length with that outlet with a slash cut yet lol so i think
im gonna end up getting some that are 18 inches long though. BTW im getting the same
set up soon so what i said isnt confusing lol

2.5"x3.5"x18" Silverline Stainless Steel Tips (before i went to 2.5"x4"x18")

On my old 93 I had a 3"x3.5"x12" Magnaflow tip

If you have running boards or step bars, etc. the 12" length seems to be hidden well by the steps.

Go with slash cut tips. I am sure I will get some feed back on this statement, but rolled tips have an effect on the tone of the exhaust and will not be as deep and mellow as a slash cut tip. Trust me on this one....

everyone talks about this being a problem, but if it were an issue, it'd be because there's something wrong with your truck and it needs parked until it's repaired...

I never even thought that would be an issue till someone who heard my plans asked if I wasnt afraid of that happening.
