New stuff

Installed a new K&N Cold Air Intake this afternoon, e-fan's tomorrow. Bedrug, newly painted wiper cowl and Snugtop coming soon.

Know what would make it look even sweeter?!?! A 3dCarbon/Foose body kit!!!

I've got one for sale that would work perfectly with your truck. Made for 06-08's w/ fender flares and has no exhaust cut-outs!

Not to ruin your sales pitch but i don't know if that would fit the whole theme of the truck real well. Just my .02 cents.

No worries. I'm not hard pressed to sell it and you're not my potential customer either. The OP came close to buying the last kit I had for his old truck and that's why I offered. That and the apparent lack of any type of ground effects.

I had actually thought about a lower valance of some sort like from an FX2 maybe but the trucks still new enough to me that I'm not sure what I want to do yet other than some performance goodies. Any thoughts on the Pacesetter long tube headers? I was thinking about them but wasn't sure how they would work with the Bassini cat-back exhaust that's on the truck. Do you replace or eliminate the cats? Replace everything back to the Bassini parts? Start over all together? Any thoughts. Oh, something else too. It's lowered with DJM parts, 3 1/2 and 5". Rides not that great and the rear suspension was flipped without notching the frame. I've got maybe 3" of clearance (maybe) and have already bottomed out a couple of times. After I put on the Snugtop its probably gonna be even worse. Any suggestions on what to do to remedy that? Notch the frame? Start over with different suspension? I know I've got a lot of questions but I want to do this one right. Guess I should ask these questions in a different section too.

what is your setup right now with exhaust? pipe sizing, etc.

I have a set of Pacesetter LT's and matching y-pipe as well as some 3" cats sitting in my dining room right now. The headers have 3" collectors w/ o2 bungs on them. The y-pipe is cat/bung-less and is 3" through out. It follows the same path as the stock y-pipe and even provideds a reducer to jump down to 2.5" in order to use the oem exhaust. As long as your exhaust hooks up in the normal spot after the factory y it will be a simple bolt on. As for the cats, you'll have to get a very compact cat in order to make it work with this y-pipe. I picked up some Thunderbolt 3" cats with the o2 bungs already welded in on one end. They measure 4"x11" and I have no doubts i can make them work.

Its stock until the Bassini cat-back. Goes into a y-pipe down the right side of the vehicle into about a 22" long muffler. 2 1/2" SI/DO

are you saying you have this for sale or just telling me you have what you know will work?
