Anyone done this? Im just wondering the best procedure. Im assuming just unbolt the pipes and take a metal rod and ram the chit out of them?

ive done it on a winstar..took the converters off and rammed them with a pipe...i had to set them in a vice and take a hammer and beat the pipe into the converter...its not easy at all.

Yeah I was wondering if its worth it or not. I know it will pass inspection because we just have visual.

I have two thunderbolts layin around that sound almost like no cat so maybe ill do that if its a big hassle.

Would an exhaust shop question my cats if i handed them two thunderbolts and said here install true duals two cats two muffs.

The thunderbolt if i dont gut:

that thunderbolt looks like a resonator..and im not to sure but idk if they would pass that in an inspection

as for exhaust shops...where i live its easy to get ANY kind of exhaust/converter work done..i say i want these cats off..they do it. and give me the "if you get caught...i didnt do this work" speech

im not sure about VA laws, but you could just go up to a shop and talk to them i guess

No meinke/midas etc will cut out the cats...the only way would be to find a mom and pop bum**** shop.

if anyone knows of one in the central va area that cuts out cats please share

you need to run a crossover, so your not running no cats no mufflers..your running possibly no cats/those other cats and magnaflow mufflers??

I was either doing two 14" maganflows and gutted cats or two 14" maganflows with two hi-flow thunderbolt cats

i think im just going to put the thunderbolts in there. i found this on youtube, thunderbolts basically sound like no cats.
