exhaust suggestions please???

I have a 2001 F150 supercrew the truck has a flowmaster muffler on it.I believe it is the 40 series muffler.I have dual exhaust but not true duels its just a 1 in 2 out setup.I am wanting it to be louder it has a very good tone now but I am wanting a little more noise.Should I go with a straight pipe?I am not really wanting to cut the cats because I don't want any check engine lights etc. popping up all the time. Will this happen I have been told that it will.Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Again I like the sound of my truck I am just wanting it to be louder.

If you like the tone, then either have high flow cats or cut the rear cats out. If you do get a check engine light, you can install MIL eliminators for $50. They send the lean signal the computer expects to see.
