a little help
im sure this has been debated before on here many times! my question is im looking to install headers on my 04 f150 5.4 3v 4x4. i have the banks 3 inch catback, spectre intake,t.b. spacer, and the edge programmer. all thats left is the headers. its my daily driver and i do some dunning and towing. i want to keep it reliable so most likely it will stay natural asp. does anyone know of a system that has a cat delete? and is there a difference with or without cats? thanks
First ditch the spacer and use it a paper weight or door stop its not gaining you any thing. I would leave the cats alone as it is illegal to remove them and they really dont cause to much of a problem and the headers will help the truck breath better.
ive been reading up on the dynatech and obx

Are you talking about running with out the O2 sensors? Because if you are you will have problems because the PCM will not know how to adjust the fuel mixture with out them and yes you will get a CEL.
Leave the cats alone? With long tube headers?! Jesus people, do we really want to see this guy come here telling us how his cats welded themselves solid? It would be extremely funny, but I'm sure he wouldn't enjoy it too much.
If you enjoy having a working truck with LT's, you have to have either hi-flow cats, or no cats.
