Exclamation Need Exhaust advice!!! ASAP!

Alright gents, I just picked up a sick 07' Lariat (pics coming), and I am looking to throw an exhaust system in it right away. In my other truck (02 king Ranch) I have a flowmaster cat back exhaust system with flowmaster 44 series muffler, that thing barks perfectly. So other than going with something like that, any suggestions?

What I am looking for is something that has the perfect tone, when you step on it you can tell, but not those retarded setups where it is so loud but has no depth to its tone because their only running a 5.4. Also I am not looking to cut out my cats.

Well, why mess with (your) success? It's basically the same engine so that FartMaster 44 would sound very similar. You obviously are looking for sound over any sort of ( marginal) perf benefit ( in fact yer low-end grunt is taking a hit, sorry) - silly little baffles ==> https://www.f150online.com/forums/1754796-post2.html.

Something from Borla or Magnaflow may be a better choice.

I'm sure Darren and his little sidekick AVFrog will be along shortly to crap in this thread

If you want deep check out MBRP SI/SO. You can get cat back stainless systems online for around $350 shipped.

Here's a crappy startup, take off of mine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SE2cs...eature=channel

Magnaflow's don't drone hardly at all depending on the set-up. Flowmaster's drone way more in comparison.

Op, I highly recommend the round body. It is more aggressive that the oval (12198) that I have. I am going to be investing in high flow cats to satisfy me, I want it deeper and louder. The round body's will have a great rumble and get considerably louder as they break in. The drone that is caused my mufflers is related to not only whether they are chambered or straight thru, but also on the muffler placement as well as the type of system. You want the muffler as close to the rear axle as possible so that the resonation is under the bed, not the cab. Also, exit style can have more or less effect. I will never ever own a truck without the duals 45'd behind the rear tires. To me, an exhuast system looks crappy without it being this way. It will give you a nice echo off surround obstacles like buildings, under passes, ect and keep the sound from resonating under the truck when you do a dumped application. True duals will rasp more at higher rpms and will drone a bit more.

MxRacer brings up a good system as well. All of them are reputable. The MBRP and Banks are very deep. You might also like the Roush Offroad

I would have gotten the Roush Offroad if I could of found it for the same money as the MBRP. RO sounds excellent.

The 14 round bodies only drone if you have a true dual setup, then you toss in hi-flow cats and it's a neighborhood wakeup call.

A single magnapack with stockish exit won't drone hardly any.
