what will Headers do?

what will a set of pace setters header do for my truck(00 5.4)? I have a duynomax race bullet dumped roght now. Will the headers make it sound louder, better, deeper etc.. I blew a head gasket and bought headers instead of the manifolds so im ging with them either way, was just curious how much it'd change

it will make it a good bit louder, deeper, and give it overall more of a bada$$ sound. they'll give ya some power too. i cant feel my truck just lose power up top anymore.

long tubes will broaden your torque curve, shorties will no nothing but add a couple horses and change the tone of the exhaust

just curious if you have any sound clips of your exhaust. I have the EXACT setup except have the resonators instead of the high flow cats

yes sir, i just posted a thread with a vid in it, its the thread named 02 5.4 exhaust clip. and the torque curve does broaden, good solid power all the way thru the rev range.

Headers give the exhuast somewere to go. and also scavgens That means when one pulse goes threw the collector the vaccum helps pull the next pulse out from another tube.

built did a test stock vs shortys vs longtubes. shortys gained nothing over stock. longtuebs gained 30HP and 35 FT lbs. they make the tone alot deeper and sound better plus more power. love my pacesetters get um ull love them

ive always ran Pacesetters. i had shortys for a year. no probs. and the Longtubes for 2 years. the shortys rusted yes but never leaked i sold them for 100 bucks to a member on here who is still using them. and i live in michigan so winter with snow and salt is unforgiving on carbon steel. but its thick and i love my pacesetters made in the USA.

OBX ive heard sometimes the welds crack. and plus they are made in china. but they are stainless. but cost a lil more.

Pacesetters are longer than OBX too witch makes scavging better
