Exhaust Tip Question

Well, I'm already making big plans for my exhaust once my tax return come in

It's a '99 5.4L, and i plan on running true duals with Magnaflow high flows, an x-pipe and two Magnaflow 14576 mufflers. The plan was to run 2.5" pipe for the system, but I've recently fell in love with the black BRP tips. The smallest size I could find on their website was a 3.5"-4.5" tip. I am fully against running 3.5" piping throughout the system.

I was just wondering if there is any possibility that an exhaust shop could make a custom adapter? OR is this just a huge mistake and it'll cause performance losses and I should wait until I finally get my 7.3L...?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

shop could probably make a adapter. No performance lost because of the tip. If you just want a black tip you could always buy a stainless one and paint it with high heat pain or have it powder coated.

RBP has an adapter (95005) on their website that converts 2.5" to 4". The 46004-7 tip looks sweet. FYI: MBRP also has a black tip.

If you're planning on getting a 250/350, why are you modding this truck?

Those tips are for diesels anyhow. IMO, it will look goofy as hell on a 1/2 ton.

I just don't like being able to see the logo on a tip.
