Glasspack?

Ok guys i want my 02 5.4 F150 to scream. Funds are limited. Im just going to replace the muffler. There are no emission laws her so that's out. Should I straight pipe it? Glasspack? Ive heard flowmaster and there not that loud. What do you all think?

SLP LM2 or LM1! I have the SLP LM2 and they are loud, not as loud as I want though. I'd go LM1's or Dynomax Bullets. Those are pretty popular around here too.

If you want obnoxiously loud that you will probably get tired of hearing in about a year, then cut the cats and run straights. The only glasspack-esque mufflers I would recommend would be Dynomax Bullets or Magnaflow Magnapacks. Cat-backs are purely for sound, so don't expect any performance gains if you go through with it.

flowmaster outlaw, cherry bomb extreme, dynomax bullet, straight pipe, or glasspack. Do your research and figure out what sounds the best. These trucks are only going to get so loud, so if you want more sound, ur gonna be dealing with ur cats. Deleting the rear ones will gain you 40% more volume.

This is the loudest and cheapest way to loud pipes.

True dual off of the back of the converters, run 2.0" pipe all the way out under the back bumper. Yes its loud, and its cheap. I have this setup on my 98 4.6. If you dont like it, add mufflers later. Did I mention it was loud? It would only get louder if I removed the converters.

yea 2" is kinda small for our trucks. he just has true dual straight pipes with no crossover.

certain states or counties dont have emission testings. 2" pipe? no. OP said funds are limited, thats why i listed those couple mufflers that are straight pipe volume, but each have different tones. you can do a simple muffler swap, which is the cheapest, or upgrade your piping from 2.5" to 3" from the Y back if your going single pipe.

true dual cherry bomb glass packs and have them exit infront of your passenger rear tire, it will literally make your truck scream. 24" cherry bomb costs around 20 bucks here, you could probably get an off brand cheaper, so for around $100+the cost of tips if you wanted them...I ran this setup on my '96, sounded good, but everyone knew when i was comin down the street.

I went to the shop had the muffler deleted and had them put on a 3.5" 15 degree straight cut stainless tip. $80 Sounds incredible! Super deep, loud and has some rumble to it. I don't know why you would want to do anything different. Your not going to see any hp gains out of it but as far as sound its great!
