What is the difference between a cold air intake and a ram air intake?

cold air intake (CAI) is where the air being taken in is coming from a relitively cool area normally in a mass amount. ram air is just a large filter that intakes a large amount of air in a short tube.

best way i know how to tell you google each and look at pictures that kinda helps get an idea
