Banks super scoop vs K&N FIPK

Hey yall,

quick question.

K&N FIPK looks nice, i just dont see it bein too cold cause it isnt seald. Its probably want ill get.

But the banks has that nifty scoop, seems like colder air, but what about runnin through water, wont it become a straq when fording water.

And please save the bashin, i dont have the time to read it here in afghanistan, i just got enough time to find what i want for my baby

As I recall, Troyer Performance did a test a few years ago, comparing the open filter intakes with closed intakes. He was searching too for the best performer. His tests on a dyno showed that there was little differnce between the open and closed intakes and he explained why that was. Had to do with air movement in the engine bay, as I recall. He ended up with evidence that the AF1 was the best overall performer, but they are now out of business. I really think it depends on what you want it to look like when you open the hood, more than anything.
