need to know how to clean a MAF

hey guys I have 1998 ford f150 4.6L and I need to know how to clean the MAF can you guys give me any tips or directions for this?

Take it out and don't touch the elements. Spray some carb cleaner or MAF cleaner on it and let it dry. You should be set!

Be sure to use electronic cleaner that does not leave a residue. there is a writeup for the 2004 up in the How To section. It shows the cleaner.

take the air box apart, get the safety torx or what ever its called,and take the sensor out and make sure you dont touch the wires, and spray about 3 or 4 inches away about 10 sprays or so,

i did mine with MAF cleaner, its in a gray can

make sure the maf is not hot, let the engine/maf cool down and then clean it.
