Getting more air, easier is more of a concern than its temperature.

i have the K&N 77 got it for 220 bucks at vatozone. looks nice and the heat sheild helps stop most of the engine hot air from getting in there.

i had a scanner on my truck one day and the IAT *intake air temp* was 101 on a 95* day. my buddys Ram 1500 with a stock intake was at 115* on the same day. and then he got the same model K&N and it was about 90* and his IAT was 98* or so.

never done it vs an S&B intake. The air is rushing by so fast the temp really doesnt matter and the tube temp doesnt really effect much.
