Quick question regarding an intake

I just installed a K&N drop in cone filter. Do I need to disconnect the battery and reset the computer to take full advantage of the mod?

You don't have to, but it will get adapt quicker if you do so.

Same one that I got? Just the drop-in replacement filter inside the stock air box?
