F100 exaust?

This is my first post
I have a 1976 F100 that I have been having for close to 20 years and have had several different set ups on it. Right now I have headman long tubes, 3" piping to original 40 2chamber flows dumped before the 9". Im thinking about changing up. I want to keep the flows but wanna go with a H or X mid pipe. Im looking for a very clean loud sound, almost peircing to the ear when gettin in it. I want to emphasize the cam sound at idle sort of choppy sound. What do yall think I should try to run? Here is a little run down of my equipment. Might make a differnce in the way it sounds not sure.

roller 302 with Ford motor sport X-cam, roller comp rockers 10.5 to 1, fly cut domes, holley 650 double pumper, edelbrock performer rpm intake, old syle heads with 180 202 valves, pete jacksons gear drive, MSD 6al and distributer, C6 with 3000 TCI stall, b&m comp. shift kit, 9" with locker

Never on dyno unknown horsepower
X pipe, H pipe. or straight, what size pipe should I go with also?
Any input would be helpfull.
