Angry Help! f150 missing

I have a 2004 ford f150 w/ 82000 miles. At high speeds (freeway cruising) it jerks and misses as soon as it hits 6th gear (auto tranny)......runs rough (almost sounds like h20 in the fuel). When I excellerate hard to blow it out, it "pops" and jerks even worse(anything above 3.5 grand on the rpm gauge)...what gives? Engine check light comes on for a sec, then goes off. New plugs @ 60000 miles. Runs great at every other speed. Pcv valve? Dirty intake? Egr valve solinoid?

I had the same problem with my old '99 4.6. Turned out to be a grill cover. One of those pop in Lund types. Only did it when the weather started turning cool.

no tuner. This just started a few months back. Thought it may have been from bad gas. wasn't the case.
