Well I finally bit the bullet and got a K&N CAI for my 2005 Screw with the 5.4 Triton. Install was pretty straight forward, took about an hour this morning. Put a little over 50 miles on it this afternoon and so far seems to really help the engine breath. Not allot of noticeable seat of the pants power but definately better throttle response. Hopefully with the programmer that I have it will help the mpg's a little.

i have a 77 series on my truck too, mine feels better in seat of pants and gets better mpgs. but the seat of pants feel is so nice its hard to stay out of it. i took mine to the track the other day with a very dirty filter. next day i cleaned it and wow what a difference. taking it to the track this week to see what the difference will be.
