Banks Ram Air 04-08

Does anybody have one of these intakes? Is it worth the money and does it come with a super scoop?

I have been running one for over a year, and i love it, really wakes the motor up. It adds a very distinctive sound when accelerating. I chose it over the other brands because it comes with a housing for the filter, it hooks into the stock air port in the fender as well as a wide open front, it wont just pull hot air from under the hood. Pulling a lot of hot air from the engine compartment is just as inefficient as pulling cooler air through a restricted stock intake imo. Banks also has a very good research and development department they designed their intake for optimum flow and performance, its not just some round tube with a filter stuck on the end.

I have the banks too. I couldnt be happier. It is very well built and looks great under the hood. I personally am not a fan of the chromed out, generic looking tube with a random colored filter on the end of it.

The banks is a quality product and you truly get what you pay for.

No scoop with it. Less than $399? I picked mine up online from 4wheelparts since they were having a sale. I think out the door for a bit less than 360. Thats still a chunk of change but if put in the same situation I would do it all over again. I love the thing!

I have a S&B Intake which looks very similar to the Banks, (they may even make them for banks, Not sure though. )
It Really woke up my 5.4.

I got my S&B from Auto Anything for $269.00

Regards

I have heard that s&b makes the kit for banks. Never heard a bad review on s&b and its much cheaper. Maybe check them out.

The only problem i have had with my banks is the hardware loosening up, just used some blue loctite on it and it was good to go

I bought an EBAY special. 4" intake with a name brand K&N element for around $80. The only thing I'm not sure about is that it didn't come with a heat shield. I'm sure how much of a difference that makes though.
