muffler and cat question

hey right now i am running somewhat of true duals but i still have the cats i have 2 40 series flowmaster and i was wondering if i put one dual in dual out magnaflow 11" would it be more of a deeper tone rather than the raspy flowmaster sound? now i contacted my local exhaust shop and they said u cant remove the pre cats without getting a CEL but i wasnt gonna do it myself but let them. Would this be possible in anyway to remove pre cats without CEL

My truck is a 2000 f150 7700 5.4

The tone will not change. If you run an H or X pipe between the 2 exhaust pipes that will reduce raspy noises (brap, crackle).

To remove the pre-cats is asking for trouble. yes you can get rid of the CEL, but any local, state, federal AQMD staff or law enforcement person (including Fish & game Warden) can impound the truck- then it goes to court where the judge decides if the truck should be sent to a scrape yard or tagged as a gross poluter- meaning you get to pay a mechanic to replace every component then then have to go to a federal referee smog station for the rest of the trucks life- and during the court hearing- you have no say in the matter- not even heard from- not a wisper---you just get to sit and listen!

you can find a "dummy plug" that will fool yor motor to thinking the O2 sensor is reading good. This will keep you from getting check engine lights and other issues. I had true duals on my 06 with only two cats and glass packs. Passed emissions with flying colors.

replace your 2 flowmasters with 2 dynomax bullets, it will be loud as a straight pipe, but deep and aggressive. Put an X pipe, since you dont like the "raspy sound", which an H will produce.
