would a bad o2 sensor cause my exhaust to crackle or when the throttles punched cause a hesitation before accelerating? it started about a week ago and my check engine light came on, i just wanna know if the o2 sensor might be bad.

First we need to know what code is turning on the service engine light... That will narrow it down a lot faster.. It could also be a dirty mass air flow sensor...

If you don't have easy access to a code reader, disconnect the battery for 15 minutes minimum, and spray the MAF really well with MAF cleaner, be careful not to touch the little wires. Let it dry and connect your battery and see if that makes a difference. It's worth a shot anyway because maf issues can cause hesitation.

I bought a basic reader YEARS ago and it works fine... saves alot of time & headache and spending unnecessary money on just trying to figure it out.

EDIT:...and try not to double-post.. the mods & others don't like that
