Exhaust install question
Exhaust install question
I have a 2006 F-150 XLT Super Cab...is the factory exhaust just a bolt on? I do not know much about all this, but someone told me if I was looking to replace the factory exhuast - from the cat back - then it is just bolted on and it would be a piece of cake to take the factory off and put the new one in. Anyone know if this is indeed the case?
Bolt-on? Yes.
Piece of Cake? No.
I removed all the factory exhaust for my '08 Screw from the Y-pipe back without cutting but it wasn't easy. Mine is 2 yrs younger than yours and in a milder winter environment and I still had to use a fair amount of WD-40. My advice is to attach a ratchet strap from the hitch to the hanger on the muffler and ratchet it down until it breaks loose.

I just used WD-40 pulled with all my might. Try the ratchet strap. It should work.
However, I have family that work in a machine shop doing parts for the coal industry and they swear by this:

Said that it has unstuck even the worst rusted parts they have dealt with.
