Do you want to make your own or actually buy one? Makin one is your cheaper route but everyone likes different brands. K&N and S&B and AEM are just 3 out of a whole lot out there. just make sure you get the intake tube the holder for the filter and the filter itself. some companies sell just the bigger filter and drop in box but its better to buy the whole kit to get your best performance.

look up the "gotts intake" for 97-03's. cheap way to get a good cold air kit on our trucks.

2 of my buddies have K&N and i have S&B. They are both great brands but like Blue02Fx4 said the "gotts intake" is good. just look around until you see what you like the best.

yeah man its all about the same thing. as long as it replaces the stock tube to your throttle body and gives you the new box and filter it should be just as good. anything is better thans stock. even a drop in lol that is what i had for a while.

well the Spectre is not a ''true" CAI, because its not fully enclosed. the volant is. im lookin at getting rid of my K&N and getting a volant.
