HELP! Roush off-road too long

So i am trying to install my Roush Off-Road side exit on a 2004 FX4. Everything was going fine until I went to put on the muffler assembly and the dimensions don't match up. The intermediate pipe is way too long like 8 in. or so. The directions say nothing about it and I cant find anything online. I suppose I could take off the intermediate pipe and cut it but I dont understand why I wouldn't be able to find anything on this?

Well I cut 7 in. off the intermediate pipe and it lines up perfectly. Pretty weird though I researched the hell out of this exhaust and never came across anything like this. ROR sounds bad-**** by the way.

Glad to hear. I saw your post earlier and wasn't sure of how to help. Glad you were able to get it all worked out. Enjoy that growl

i bet it is designed like that to allow it to work on the longer wheelbase trucks, and needs to be cut for shorter WB trucks
