LT header donut gaskets

hey guys, i have an OBX LT kit on my 02 5.4, and now since i finished welding all the exhaust seams(no pipes leaking!), i really started to notice the header "whoosh", and today when i got home from work i had a buddy come over and run the trottle for me just to see if it was a leak or just the collector turbulence(i passed it off as the header sound, but it seemed too loud) and well, my drivers side one is leaking, about a 1" area around the circumfrence of the donut. i tried tightening it, and it didnt change anything, im wondering if replacing the donut gasket with a "softer"(if there is such a thing) donut would get rid of this, or what to do about it?

any ideas?
thanks in advance!

Curious if you made any progress with this? I've been battling leaks here and there since I did the OBX headers and curious what you ended up doing?
