k&n replacement

k&n replacement

i have a 4.6 v8 is the replacement worth $50 bucks. can you even tell a difference.

Its not so much a difference you will feel, but your truck will breathe a lot better. You will notice a difference in gas mileage(its better), but you will pick up a few horses. If you want to feel the difference get a tuner,an exhaust system,or get the whole cold air intake set-up. If you want a big difference re-gear it.

IMO the replacement filters only advantage is the fact that they are cleanable. but the oil charged filters end up getting oil onto the maf and then you have to take that off and clean it and its not worth it to me for little to nothing gains. i would either go for a whole cai or get an amsoil replacement filter.

I've seen dyno sheets with mustangs on this and the most i've seen is 2hp with a K&N and 5hp loss with no filter at all. CAI with programmer is the best opption.
