nice, good way to take advantage of avoiding the engine bay heat and going for as much ambient as possible

What your saying about yours being able to suck all the air it wants be cause its open. but as im sure you know the 4.2 have a cone filter i trashed my fomoco as soon as i picked it up of the lot (wow that was almost 4yr and 70k ago!) my set up is made to get as cold as air as possible to the motor with a 3" gott mod 2" "ram air" and a 3" tube to the throttle body im sure my 2" tb is getting all the air it needs. but like you said you have a warranty thats a biggie. maybe you cantie a ribbon on the tube to see if it sucks will you go down the road? have you tried over at v6f150.com im almost positive some one will have one alot less then 300

tarajerame, sure i would be honored to get into the how to i can get you better ones now that the silicon has dried pm me and let me know, hopfully i can get my lighter start in there its in the 2004-2008 forum "because i dont smoke" pg 4

i put my hand in front of the tube i have on my truck and it doesnt suck any air thru when its running so that means its getting enough air from elsewhere in the engine bay but if it needs more air while its driving, it is readily available for it. yeah the stock system has a cone filter too but the air being let in is limited by the one tube in the fender hole. and for the two tube setup, yeah it helps a lot i bet but i still think it could be getting more air possibly. really it doesnt matter how your intake is set up because no matter how much area you have open for air to come in, its all restricted by the throttlebody size. same with exhaust, you can have a 5 inch tube all the way to the end but if your tip is only 1 inch diameter, thats all the exhaust thats coming out because its restricted. not saying anybodies intake is better than the other because they are basically different setups. but either way they are still 10x better than stock.
