I've got a maggie sido on my truck and love it. The out of the box kits come with the 18" si/do muffler. Maggie also makes a 14" si/do muffler, but it is not included in the cat-back kits. The shorter the muffler, the louder it will be. Maggie also makes 11" mufflers but they are not in the si/do setup.

I just had the 14" si/do installed on saturday, very loud under accleration, extremely deep, I can hear it all the time, but at cruise its a nice hum, even on the highway, not annoying at all. I know everyone has different preferences, but this mufler is pretty loud, it's louder than I thought which is the hard part about youtube clips. Today, I noticed my rpms are lower on the highway now, which is a good sign. I don't know how it compares to the flowmaster super 44, but its pretty loud to me and is exactly what I wanted and if you are looking at Maggies, it would be their loudest si/do, so your closer to the loudness of the flow 44 most likely.

I asked that, its a lot of work, I guess it has a y pipe installed in it (the magnaflow that is).

No, not really. The SI/DO mufflers have a "Y" built into the muffler itself, they only have a single inlet and a dual outlet, hence the SI/DO name. Some have gone to a custom setup with two SI/SO mufflers and an X pipe for a true dual setup.

the best sound out of magnaflow would be one of these 2 options.

dual 14" round "magnapacks" http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

dual 11" http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

or if u really wanna make your truck roar ditch magnaflow and either put 1 or 2 Borla XR-1
