I had a shop install my Airaid CAI last summer... today, when I was showing it to a friend, I pulled up on the part where it connects to the engine block (or whatever it connects to... where it goes into the truck)... anyways - it pulled up very easily. My buddy told me it looked like they didn't put in one of those steel adjustable bands that would tighten it... So I put one on tonight and got it nice and snug - so now it won't slide up and down...

So my question is - did I do something that should've already been done, or is it supposed to be loose?

 

its supposed to be real snug...the shop never told you that you have to tighten it every now and again because it does get looses from time to time. I had one on my jeep, and 4 years later, it would still get a little loose.

 

ok cool... thats what I figured... ya, so I just put that stainless steel thing on there and got it snug
