What headers??

Hey guys, Just loooking to get your guys thoughts on the different headers for my 2000 f150 with te 4.6 in it. I'm looking to get a better sound and increase the power some. Truck will be used asa driver with towing a car 3-4 times a month.

I also plan to do afilter with the "Gotts" intake, some kind of rear exhaust also.(not sure what companys offer a kit the exits at the factory location?) And a programer. Let me know what you guys think! Thanks

go for long tubes, I know there are few guys running 4.6's with long tubes from 5.4's but I dunno what brands sorry

look into changing just the muffler VS the whole exhaust system

avoid throttle body spacers like the plague

custom tuned tuning devices: Xcal2, Xcal3, Gryphon and Diablo are the ones majority of people use and they all offer simaler gains it's up to you to research which one is best for you and what you want

also look into electric fans, you didn't say what gears you had but if you're towing a gear swap may help you depending on what you have now and what size tires you are running

Well I planned on getting a Gryphon as soon as I get everything else figured out. I reall don't want to do the long tubes, any other suggestions?

Also why do you say replace just the muffler and not the complete system? What do you guys think about upgradeing mass air and trottle body also?

As for the gears, i will find out this weekend.

long tubes will give you the power, shotries will just hurt your wallet.

most f150's have 2.5 inch pipe stock and aftermarket usually is the same. dont hold me to that.

Well I'm sorry but I don't have the time to install the long tubes and I really don't want to spend that much. The main reason I am replacing them is the pass side leaks.

I'm in the same boat with the leak, and I don't want to go through the trouble of just changing the gaskets and have it still leak on me, so I've been considering headers as well.

As long as I have the stock headpipe and y-pipe I should be able to fit any of the headers out there correct? I have a gibson exhaust and it uses the stock headpipe.
