I just did the 'gotts' on my '07 as well last week. I also dropped in a K&N panel filter in there. Nice mod, very easy and yes very cheap to do. If I can only figure out how to post pics I would??

Ok I've read that the Gotts mod is not good for 04-08 engines because they changed the engin in 04 and the increased air with throw off the tuning and damage the engine. Is this not correct or is it possible to do this and re-tune the engine to avoid the side effects? If so how much will it cost me to get re-tuned since I don't have any of the equipment at home?

Also, is this mod even worth it on a V6 or would an exhaust mod be more effective?

i believe

i believe the ONLY damage would be lean condition because increase air flow

Many have done, not sure if all did custom tune to offset air flow.

I'm thinking of doing it too..at the moment i'm thinking Headers ...Maybe!

red i cant find a way to post the pics so ill add them to my photo album when i get back home right now at a friends putting on my duel exhausts then off to the dyno at a another friends shop and we checked it did not seem to make it run leaner did how ever give me way more pedal response!!!!! and earlier put in the drop in k&n filter as for running lean we'll cross that bridge after we see the dyno results also i removed the resonators? (thats not spelled right is it) or mufflers/ baffles on the side of the intake for a much cleaner look so hope this post will help you all and as for the 04 + 5.4 3v motors all the boys at mission valley ford here in San Jose said there not to much to worry about the M.A.S will take care of any thing that would arise and cause problem
