throttle body spacer on 5.4L 2v?

Do the throttle body spacers actually add hp and tq on the 5.4L 2v's? I hear they do wonders on 4v engines...

I will tell you this, I had a 93 Honda Delsol during my Army days. The car had the little 1.5lt motor in it. I put a cheap Air intake on it and one of those PowerTower spacers. The spacer itself was the most impressive addition I ever did to that car. When I took it off to sale the car I was very impressed to see how much it helped. I seen throttle response, MPG gain and horsepower I mean of course it wasnt much but hey on a car that small ever bit count. I would imagine that a spacer would do nothing for a big engine like ours tho. Just my input on the situation is I have witnessed and felt a spacer actually work.

I've been looking at an 03 Mach 1 Mustang with the 4.6 4v...on the forums there a 3/8 inch spacer they claim 5 hp and 10-15tq and everyone seems to have one. seems worth it to me, but my engine is a little different so yeah

wow, did you not read what phil posted???? they are proven not to work and airraid has not released a dyno sheet for a reason

a throttle body spacer will work on a carburated engine but will do nothing for a fuel injected engine

the only thing the throttle body spacer is good for is a NOS port after the inside grooves have been smoothed out

It's not a throttle spacer they're talking about. It's an intake spacer:
