my trucks 4x4 is not engaging. i talked to a tech at a dealership he said my shift fork is worn out. i have checked my shift fork and it seems to be working fine, the lights on the dash come on, i can hear it engage in the transfercase, the front drive shaft locks in place. i jacked up the front end while the truck was in 4x4 and the tiers spin freely. i am a poor person and cant aford to take it to some one to fix it. what else can i check

 

Can you see if you front drive axles are turning if they are then it would be your hubs. If you post this in a drive train area you would probably get more help.
